Terms of Service

1. The service

KABA is a marketplace for Algeria: users can list and sell items, buy from other users, and order products from abroad brought by verified travelers ("micro-importation"). KABA provides the platform, secure payment handling and dispute mediation; the products themselves are sold by independent sellers and travelers, not by KABA.

2. Accounts

• You must be at least 16 and provide accurate information.
• You are responsible for activity on your account. Sellers must additionally be approved and may be required to verify their identity.
• We may suspend or remove accounts, listings or messages that break these terms, the law, or harm other users.

3. Payments, deposits & escrow

• Payments are made by card (CIB/Edahabia via Chargily Pay) or BaridiMob transfer with receipt verification.
• For secure orders, the buyer pays a deposit upfront (or optionally the full amount for local orders). KABA holds this amount in escrow — the seller/traveler is paid only after the buyer confirms delivery.
• The remaining balance (when not prepaid) is paid cash on delivery directly to the seller or traveler.
• KABA charges a platform fee of 5% to the buyer and 5% to the seller on secure orders (included in the displayed amounts — local buyers pay exactly the listing price).

4. Refunds & disputes

• Order not delivered: if a seller or traveler fails to deliver, the buyer's escrowed deposit is refunded in full.
• Item significantly not as described: raise a dispute from the order page before confirming delivery. A KABA admin reviews the evidence from both sides and decides on a refund, release, or partial resolution.
• After delivery is confirmed by the buyer, the escrow is released and the sale is final, except where local consumer law provides otherwise.
• Buyer no-show / refusal without cause on a confirmed import order may result in loss of the deposit, as the traveler has already purchased the item.
• Refunds are returned via the original payment method where possible, otherwise via BaridiMob transfer.

5. Prohibited items & conduct — zero tolerance

Illegal goods, counterfeits, weapons, and anything prohibited by Algerian law or customs regulations may not be listed or imported. Harassment, fraud, spam, and attempts to move secure orders off-platform to avoid escrow protection are prohibited.

KABA has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. Anyone can flag a listing or report and block a user directly in the app; blocking a user immediately hides all of their content from you. Our moderation team reviews every report and acts within 24 hours — removing offending content and ejecting the user who provided it where warranted.

6. Liability

KABA is a platform. While we verify sellers and hold deposits in escrow to protect both sides, we are not a party to the sale and do not guarantee the quality, safety or legality of listed items beyond the protections described above. Our liability for any claim is limited to the fees KABA earned on the transaction concerned.
